St. Cyprian's Theological College trains ordinands for future service in the Anglican Church of Tanzania. In addition to studying for ordination the ordinands also take secondary school classes so that by the time they graduate they will have not only completed their theological education but also achieved their Form IV secondary school certificate.
St. Cyprian's was established in 1962 by Bishop Trevor Huddleston and currently offers a four year educational program. The ordinands learn to use and treasure their liturgical and Scriptural heritage and are trained in the use of pastoral skills from an Anglo-Catholic tradition. The wives of the ordinands are prepare for their life in the parish where they will lead other women in the community and teach children.
